Tunelark Money Matters

This module walks new teachers through setting up a Stripe account — the payment platform Tunelark uses to pay all instructors. If your Stripe account is already connected and working, you can skip ahead to Module 2.

What is Stripe? Stripe is one of the world’s largest payment processors. It’s a completely separate company from Tunelark — which means your bank information, tax ID, and direct deposit details are never visible to Tunelark staff. They go directly to Stripe and stay there.

Getting to Stripe: Log in to your Tunelark dashboard → Settings → Billing → Set Up Stripe.

What you’ll need: Your legal name (as it appears on tax documents), your tax ID (SSN or EIN), your filing status, date of birth, and your tax mailing address.

Additional documentation: Stripe may request a copy of your ID in some cases — typically if there’s a name discrepancy. Take care of any requests promptly, as payouts can be held until documentation is verified.

Once set up: Your Stripe dashboard is your home for all payment details — direct deposit info, payout history, and tax documents. Tunelark support cannot access or manage your Stripe account.
