Gillian is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, and educator with over thirty years of experience in performance, songwriting, production, and music education. She holds a master's degree in Contemporary Performance Production from Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain, and a bachelor's degree in music from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a focus on jazz and classical voice. Her training includes study with master vocal teacher Don Lawrence, and she gained early recognition winning Amateur Night at Harlem's Apollo Theater. She has taught at Interlochen Arts Academy, the Center for Music and Nature, and Jazz Camp West. She teaches voice, electric bass, and upright bass in both English and Spanish.
